Pope Francis spoke on the terrorist attack in the editorial office of the French newspaper Charlie Hebdo, as well as a new edition of the publication published yesterday.
According to the pontiff, no one has the right to ridicule people's faith, and every religion deserves respect. Freedom of religion, according to the Pope, is the same human right as freedom of speech.
It should be noted that while communicating with journalists, Francis decided to joke - the Pope of Rome noted that violence was not an answer, of course, but if his assistant had said a bad word about his mother, he would have received a fist for it.

The editors of uznayvse.ru remind that on January 7, two Islamists with machine guns broke into the editorial office of the weekly Charlie Hebdo. Terrorists killed 12 people. Before the police defused them, five more died. Presumably, the attack was due to the fact that the publication published caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed. The new issue of Charlie Hebdo was released in huge editions, and on its cover was again placed a caricature of the prophet.
