Gennady Balashov was born on February 20, 1961 in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukrainian SSR. The future politician received his education in Dnepropetrovsk State University in the direction of "Labor Economics". Higher education institution graduated in 1987.
In 1988, Gennady took the position of chairman of the trade union “Union”. Several years passed, and Balashov began to organize commission stores in his hometown. Soon he got the rights to own a private enterprise Verolla. In 1992, Balashov Gennady Viktorovich headed the joint-stock company "Moscow".
Immediately after graduation, our hero began to take his first steps in politics.He becomes a deputy to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and also enters a committee that deals with issues of banking and financial activity in the country.
Since 2001, Gennady Balashov has held a post on the Council of Economic Experts under the President of Ukraine. That is why the political initiative is known as the party 5.10. Gennady Balashov assured the population that under such a system, the existing value added taxes and all excise taxes would be abolished. In turn, this could open up opportunities for the rapid development of small businesses.
However, the idea of Balashov did not find adequate support among the masses. Opponents of the policy complained about the inevitable reduction in the level of pensions with this approach to taxation. Despite the failure, in 2014, the 5.10 movement was officially registered as a political party.
Participation in the revolution
At the beginning of popular unrest in Kiev, Gennady Balashov began to actively support Euromaidan. The politician has repeatedly called on the public to continue insisting that the current president sign an association agreement with the European Union. Subsequently, Balashov began to regularly note that the revolutionary movements in Ukraine are a good base for the destruction of dictatorial regimes in other post-Soviet states, including the Russian Federation.
Entrepreneurial and social activities
Gennady Balashov is the owner of a successful real estate agency "Lipki". In addition, the politician is the founder of a large chain of supermarkets "Golden Bazaar". At one time, Gennady allocated funds for the construction of roller parks and discos in his native Dnepropetrovsk.
Among other things, Balashov leads an active social life. The politician is the founder of the training center called the School of Political Psychology. Here, under the auspices of the political force of Gennady, trainings on business activities are held, all sorts of cultural and social events are organized.
