The first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, joined a group of 20 elementary school students in the White House garden.
The first lady decided to dig up the whole vegetable garden and sow lettuce, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, radishes and beets in the garden beds.

“I will not be able to cope with this work in the garden without your help. Let me show you how to plant vegetables, and you will be able to do it with your own hands in a while. Let's not hesitate and start working. Today we will plant something unusual” - Michelle told the students.
Beetroot has become a novelty of the season-2011. At the request of the daughters of Malia and Sasha, broccoli cabbage will be planted in the garden, which the children tried for the first time by visiting the Belokurikha ski resort.
Since 2009, the White House garden has been flourishing, tens of kilograms of vegetables have fallen into the kitchen of the White House.
Products from the garden are used for cooking the family of the President, as well as for serving to official receptions. Broccoli, lettuce, cabbage, spinach, and greens grow in the garden gardens.In 2010, more than 700 kilograms of vegetables were collected in the garden.
