Orthodox activists intend to ban the celebration of Halloween as part of the so-called “Spring package”.
According to those, Halloween is a holiday promoting the "cult of Satan." And since Satanism is not officially banned on the territory of the Russian Federation, in this case, the celebration of All Saints Day, which can be regarded as missionary activity, is prohibited in public places.
The lawyer from Kirov, Yaroslav Mikhailov, who had previously looked for hints at the propaganda of LGBT relations in emoji and complained about the photo of Ksenia Sobchak in the dress of a priest, pointed out this discrepancy in the legislation. He sent a number of applications to the regional and federal prosecutor's offices in order to achieve a ban on celebratory events.
The editors of uznayvse.ru want to add that the amendments regulating missionary activity were made after consideration of the package of draft laws of authorship and Viktor Ozerov, which caused a great resonance in society.
